Greg Sheen

Greg Sheen came to Wright State prior to the 2010 campaign and immediately used his experience and expertise to help continue the winning ways for Wright State women's soccer.  Now he enters his second season an assistant coach hungry to build further on that success. His duties include: team training and game preparation, serving as the team's goalkeeper coach, assisting in recruiting and administrative duties.

2010 saw the Raiders increased the streak of double-figure wins to six straight under head coach Pat Ferguson with an 11-9 overall mark.

Prior to coming to Wright State University, Sheen spent the 2004 season at the helm of the Morehead State University women's soccer team, leading them to a 9-9-1 record, which was the sixth most-improved Division I record in the country. For his accomplishments, he was named Ohio Valley Conference Coach of the Year.

In addition to his stint as the head coach at Morehead State University, Sheen has also served as an assistant coach at the University of Dayton, the University of Texas at Austin, and most recently the University of Miami (FL). Involved in all aspects of these programs, Sheen helped guide these teams to a combined five NCAA Tournament appearances.

Sheen holds a USSF National "B" Coaching License and a NSCAA Advanced National Coaching Diploma. He currently serves as the Girls Director at the Metro FC soccer club in Kettering and was the founder of the Dayton Soccer Academy and DSA Premiere girls soccer club in 2000. Additionally, Sheen has served as the Director of Coaching at the Capitals Soccer Club in Austin, Texas and as the Director of Coaching at the Tophat Soccer Club in Atlanta, Georgia. He was previously named the Georgia Youth Soccer's Girl's Coach of the Year and Ohio-South Youth Soccer's Girl's Coach of the Year.

Before beginning his coaching career, Sheen played professional soccer in the United States with the A-League's Atlanta Ruckus during the outdoor season and NPSL's Atlanta Attack during the indoor campaign.

A graduate of the University of Dayton in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in general studies (with an emphasis in sport management); Sheen now resides in Oakwood with his wife Gena; whom they share seven children: Meghan, Hannah, Catherine, Chelsee, Brandon, Dakota and Sierra.
